Bishkek, Mar. 20, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is celebrating the main holiday of spring – Nooruz tomorrow, on the occasion of which equestrian games will be held at Ak-Kula hippodrom in Bishkek.
The State Agency for Youth, Physical Education and Sports reported that a republican tournament in national sports started in Bishkek and Osh on March 15, and the finals are scheduled for the day of the spring equinox (Nooruz).
The agency presented the program for March 21 in the capital:
09:00-10:00 – final competitions in er enish;
10:00-11:30 – the first league finals in kok boru, at chabysh;
11:30-11:40 – 1200 meters flat races;
11:40-11:55 – 8,800 meters kunan chabysh;
11:55-12:25 – 8,800 meters jorgo salysh;
12:25-13:00 – 19,800 meters alaman;
13:00-14:30 – the final of the major league in kok boru.
Meanwhile, today there will be competitions for the third place: in the first league, Kazarman and Son-Kol teams will compete for the bronze medal; in the highest league, Bakubat-Talas vs. Kok-Jal.
Nooruz or Nowruz is celebrated on the spring equinox, usually on March 21, and marks the beginning of a new year according to the astronomical solar calendar of the Iranian and Turkic peoples.
