Spring field work in Kyrgyzstan's south is 94% complete

Osh, Apr. 21, 2020. /Kabar/.Spring field work in Osh Oblast is 94% complete, the press service of the oblast state administration said.

In 2020, on the territory of the oblast, wheat and barley were sown on 57 thousand 130 hectares of land, which is more by 113 hectares than in 2019.

Potatoes have been sown on 3,916 hectares, vegetables - on 3,183 hectares, corn - on 7,915 hectares, cotton and others - on 4,910 hectares.

Comprehensive assistance was provided to farmers to prevent sowing disruption. Cleaning and other works related to irrigation canals worth KGS 33 million 100 thousand were carried out. Farmers were provided with everything necessary: seeds, fertilizers, machinery and other necessary equipment.

Private companies purchased 8 wagons of fertilizers.
