Bishkek, Nov.27, 2019. /Kabar/. Central Office of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes (SSCEC, Financial Police) hosted yesterday, Nov. 26 meeting of SSCEC Chairman Bakir Taiyrov with Business Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan Robin Ord-Smith.
During the meeting, Chairman Taiyrov thanked the representatives of the Institute of Business Ombudsmen for the visit, the press service of the SSCEC said.
“Our friends and partners - representatives of bona fide business - are the main allies of the financial police in the fight against many threats to the economic security of our country. They are informants pointing to unclean competition, to malicious tax evaders, impure civil servants and, of course, to large corruption shady schemes," he said.
According to him, SSCEC is also engaged in monitoring the observance of the rights and legitimate interests of business entities, providing preventive supervision and information interaction with authorized and controlling bodies.
For his part, Business Ombudsman Robin Ord-Smith thanked the management of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes for the organization of the meeting, and noted the Financial Police is the closest partner protecting business entities from arbitrary actions of the inspectors, which is confirmed by the systematic detection and suppression of corruption of civil servants.
During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of improvement of interaction between the state and business.
As a result of the meeting, it was decided to formalize cooperation by developing and signing a Memorandum between the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Institute of Business Ombudsman of the Kyrgyz Republic.
