Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2020. /Kabar/. Starting next month, Kazakhstan intends to completely close its external borders, Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Elvira Surabaldiyeva said Thursday at a meeting of the Kyrgyz Parliament.

MPs asked whether the Government would impose restrictions due to the worsening epidemiological situation.

Surabaldiyeva replied that besides Kazakhstan, Russia also intends to impose restrictions on flights, Europe is closing its borders.

"But our economic situation is different. In spring and summer, the Government was unable to fully compensate citizens and businesses," the deputy prime minister added.
