State Forestry Agency suggests to prohibit manufacture and use of plastic bags

Bishkek, July 12, 2019. / Kabar /. The State Forestry Agency of Kyrgyzstan suggested to prohibit the manufacture and use of plastic bags in the country, Director of the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry, Abdykalyk Rustamov, said during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He said that they developed a law banning the production of polyethylene products, which means that the sale and use of polyethylene will also be banned.

“We sent the documents to the Ministry of Economy, if they approve our idea, we will submit the law for further consideration,” said Abdykalyk Rustamov.
