State of emergency declared in Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn due to mudflows

Bishkek, June 14, 2022. /Kabar/. The state of emergency is introduced in Naryn town of Kyrgyzstan’s Naryn Oblast due to mudflows, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the country said.

Heavy rainfall on Monday caused mudflows at about 5:45 p.m.

As a result, more than 60 households and a mosque were flooded.

"Today a work is carried out in the town to eliminate the consequences of the elements. First deputy mayor of the town introduced the state of emergency verbally. Additional information will be given later," the report says.

According to preliminary data, there are no victims as a result of mudflows.
