Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2018. /Kabar/. The State Personnel Service (SPS) of Kyrgyzstan and Japan International Cooperation Center (JICE) extended the term for the project (JDS) of providing scholarships to train personnel in Japan.
Signing of the contract between the sides provides for continuation of the JDS Project during the next period - 2018-2023.
Within the framework of the contract, the State Personnel Service acts as a customer, while Japan International Cooperation Center is the JDS Project agent. On behalf of Kyrgyzstan, the contract was signed by Director of SPS Akram Madumarov, Official Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Zuura Bayamanova acted as a witness. The Japanese side was represented by Project Manager of JICE JDS in Kyrgyzstan Sasaki, Takehiro.
In his welcoming remarks, Head of SPS Akram Madumarov expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for the grant provided to the Kyrgyz Republic by the Government of Japan to train personnel, and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Center in implementing the JDS Project.
The goal of JDS is providing an opportunity to state and municipal officials of Kyrgyzstan to obtain Master’s degree at universities in Japan with a view to support the Kyrgyz government policy on training personnel, and develop bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Japan.
Every scholarship holder upon completion of studies shall return to homeland and work for the system of state or municipal service for not less than 3 years. Upon the return of scholarship holders, the project presupposes a possibility of applying acquired knowledge in the government system.
