State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Kyrgyzstan proposes strategy to reduce road accidents

Bishkek, Oct. 27, 2021 / Kabar /. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate proposed a strategy to reduce road accidents in the country.

Kanatbek Beisheyev, Chief Specialist of the Department of Highways of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, spoke in more detail about the project during a briefing in Bishkek.

He said that a strategic document to improve road safety must be adopted as soon as possible. This strategy is currently in the public comment stage.

“According to this plan, all government agencies, adhering to this plan, will be responsible in their area, including the police, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Emergencies and so on. We hope that this will create good road conditions and reduce the number of accidents in the country,” Beisheyev said.

Manas Sydygaliev, Deputy Head of the Department of Road Patrol Service and Law Enforcement Practice of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that he fully supports the initiative. He also hopes that the strategy will bring positive results.
