Bishkek, July 7, 2020 /Kabar/. The stock of medical products in the regions will be increased, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov said at a meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19.
"Due to large number of sick people, hospitals in Bishkek are filling up quickly and inpatient centers are short of medical staff. Therefore, regional authorities must be prepared in advance for a possible increase in the number of citizens with coronavirus infection and community-acquired pneumonia. We can't allow a repeat of the situation observed in the capital now," Boronov said.
The head of the government identified the main areas on which work must be done.
"Experience has shown that we need more than just beds. There is need to prepare places on the spot for severely ill patients and patients with moderate severity. Daytime inpatients centers should be arranged for those with mild form. At the same time, it is necessary to solve the issue with medical personnel.
Currently, Bishkek lacks doctors and nurses who can inject intravenously and provide necessary assistance. All these points need to be taken into account on the spot," Boronov warned.
The prime minister instructed to take measures to replenish the stock of medicines in the regions, taking into account the recalculation per capita and in case of shortage of medicines, immediately apply to the Department of Drug Provision of the country’s Health Ministry.
