Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2024. /Kabar/. A bilateral meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Igli Hasani took place in New York on Sept. 23.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said that Kulubaev emphasized the importance of continuing political dialogue and strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Albania.
Special attention was paid to the issues of bilateral cooperation, including within the framework of international organizations. In this context, the Kyrgyz side requested to support the candidacy for non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council for the period 2027-2028.
As part of the meeting, the ministers signed an Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Council of Ministers of Albania on exemption from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
