Bishkek, Jan.10, 2025. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan and the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs held a meeting to discuss further cooperation in the field of road safety.
The event was attended by Transport Minister Absattar Syrgabaev and heads of a number of subordinate organizations and structural units.
The meeting discussed a number of issues on prevention and strengthening of safety measures on the roads, prevention of accidents, informing the population about the rules of the road and conducting explanatory work among drivers. In particular, the data on the number of road accidents in the previous years and 2024, and their causes, as well as on the preventive measures taken by the Main Department for Road Safety were given.
Information was provided on the work done by road maintenance enterprises to improve road infrastructure, as well as measures taken to prevent traffic accidents.
Minister Absattar Syrgabaev thanked the leadership of the Main Department for Road Safety for the initiative to hold a meeting on prevention and strengthening measures to ensure safety on the roads. He also noted that all suggestions for improving road infrastructure will be addressed by the relevant road enterprises.
