Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2019. / Kabar /. SPCEA (Special Program for Central Asia) has launched a new master's program to study the Sustainable Development Goals in Central Asia, funded by the Japanese Nippon Foundation.
This is a fully funded program for a year and a half for the countries of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.
The program aims to promote the development of human resources in solving various problems related to sustainable development in the Central Asian states, as well as their relations with Japan.
During the study in English, students will also be able to attend free Japanese lessons. It is expected that by the end of their studies, students will be fluent in English and Japanese, and also become leading experts in the chosen field.
Graduates of the program will be able to find work in academic and research institutions, the UN, government agencies and the corporate sector.
The most outstanding students will be awarded scholarships (5 scholarships per year) on a competitive basis. The monthly amount of each scholarship is 117 thousand yen (amount can be changed). In addition, the scholarship will cover the study. The scholarship holders will also be given the opportunity to attend conferences and events, both in Japan and abroad.
The application deadline is March 15, 2019.
