Sugar beet harvest in Kyrgyzstan reaches record high for last 10 years

Bishkek, Nov.13, 2024. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, the 2024 sugar beet harvest is estimated to reach 900 thousand tons, which will produce 120 thousand tons of white sugar.

This volume of harvest is considered a record for the last 10 years, the country’s Agriculture Ministry said.

There are two sugar factories in the Kyrgyz Republic, Kainda-Kant OJSC and Koshoi OJSC. The factories can produce sugar from both sugar beet and sugar cane.
