Sugar prices in Kyrgyzstan increased by 27%

Bishkek, Nov. 17, 2021 . / Kabar /. As of Nov. 16, prices of granulated sugar throughout Kyrgyzstan on average was KGS 68.95 per kg and increased by almost KGS 15 or 27%,compared to December last year, the National Statistics Committee of the country said.

The highest retail prices for granulated sugar during this period were observed in Kara-Suu city (Osh Oblast)- KGS 76.48 per kg, and the lowest prices - in Kerben town (Jalal-Abad Oblast) – KGS 65 per kg.

In November, retail prices for granulated sugar across the republic increased by KGS 1.2, or 1.8% in comparison with the previous month.

The largest increase in prices for granulated sugar compared to the previous month of this year was recorded in Kara-Suu town (Osh Oblast) by 7.1%, Balykchy and Batken - by 4.5 %.
