Suicide bomber from international terrorist organization detained in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 28, 2022 . / Kabar /. A militant of Katiba al Tawhid wal Jihad international terrorist organization was detained in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) said.

On March 24, the SCNS of Kyrgyzstan detained the militant of the above international terrorist organization who had been previously trained as a subversive in Syria, trained in mine blasting and participated in combat operations against anti-terrorist coalition forces.

The detainee was sent from Syria to one of the countries of the region to commit a terrorist act as a suicide bomber on behalf of Katiba al Tawhid wal Jihad leaders.

As part of the criminal case under investigation, the detainee was placed in the detention facility of the SCNS of the Kyrgyz Republic. The complex of investigative measures continues.
