Bishkek, Jan. 22, 2019. / Kabar /. The issues of support of local self-government reforms of Kyrgyzstan are discussed in Brussels, the press service of the Union of Local Self-Governments of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Within the framework of the visit of the official delegation consisting of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, Director of the Union of Local Self-Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic Omurbek Almanbetov and representatives of local governments, Vice Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Mirlan Bakirov met with EU Special Representative Peter Burian and employee European Foreign Service Petra Gasparova.
“During the meeting, the issues of support by the European Union for the ongoing reforms of local self-governments in Kyrgyzstan were discussed,” the report said.
The Union of Local Self-Government of the Kyrgyz Republic unites 31 urban and 453 rural municipalities of Kyrgyzstan.
