Bishkek, Jan.31, 2020. /Kabar/. Support for regional entrepreneurs is a priority area of the Guarantee Fund OJSC, Chairman of the Fund Malik Abakirov said during the press conference.
He said within the framework of 2019, declared the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Country, the Guarantee Fund has been actively working in the regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, assisting entrepreneurs in obtaining loans, providing them with advice, helping to draw up business plans, participating in the financial management of enterprises.
"Under the "One District-One Enterprise” program of the Fund, at the end of 2019, warranty support was provided to 46 projects worth KGS 169 million, the volume of loans under guarantees amounted to KGS 522 million. Thanks to the guarantee support of entrepreneurs, 2413 new jobs were created in the country and 10 thousand 462 existing jobs were supported," he said.
The chairman also said over 2 thousand entrepreneurs have been trained in the regions.
More than 400 of them received guarantees and loans. Guarantees were provided for 81 export-oriented projects KGS worth 334 million, and partner banks issued loans worth KGS 1 billion 239 million.
The Guarantee Fund OJSC is aimed at providing access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in case of insufficient collateral throughout the Kyrgyz Republic.
“One District – One Enterprise (“OROE”) program of the Guarantee Fund OJSC has been operating since 2017. The program is aimed at assisting entrepreneurs in establishing new enterprises and/or new directions in existing enterprises in each region of Kyrgyzstan.
