Switzerland is leading in Kyrgyzstan’s export

Bishkek, Feb. 24 / Kabar /. Switzerland takes the first place in the geographical direction of the country's exports, Deputy Economy Minister of Kyrgyzstan Eldar Abakirov told today at a cabinet meeting speaking on the implementation of the Plan of the Kyrgyz Government for export development for 2015-2017.

He said that the potential for the development of the country's export is big. According to preliminary data, in 2016 the export of Kyrgyzstan amounted to $ 5 billion 463 million. Compared to 2015 it is less than 1.4%.

"The geographical direction of exports is as follows: Switzerland - 42%, Kazakhstan - 17.8%, Russia - 9%, Uzbekistan - 8%, Turkey - 5.8%, UAE - 2.4% and the United Kingdom - 2.1% . Much work is carried out in order to increase exports. In particular, in the middle of this year, an information campaign "Export Caravan" was launched, which aims to inform and provide information support to entrepreneurs in regions to export products abroad. Moreover, the Ministry opened the department for experts," Abakirov said.
