The agenda of the negotiations of Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Russia Vladimir Putin does not include the issue of opening the second military base in the Kyrgyz Republic, head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Kyrgyz President’s Office Daniyar Sydykov told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency, answering the question of whether this topic is on the agenda within Putin’s state visit to Bishkek.
Moreover, Sadykov added that in the field of military cooperation signing of a protocol on amending the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Russia on the status of the United Russian military base of September 20, 2012 is expected.
“The relevant negotiations between the corresponding departments are under way today, they are at the final stage. I cannot disclose the details yet, they will be known when the sides come to the finished document,” he added.
