Tajik border guards block road to Kyrgyz village

In the period from 17:30 to 18:00, the border guards of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan unilaterally blocked a section of the Batken-Isfana road in the area of ​​Tort-Kocho of Batken Oblast.

In order to prevent the escalation of the conflict, Colonel Kyialbek Tolonbaev, Head of the Department of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic for Batken Oblast and Colonel Rustam Mirshakirov, Head of the Batken Border Detachment, left for the scene.

The border units stationed at this section of the border in the Batken region have been transferred to an enhanced mode of service.

The Border Service of Kyrgyzstan monitors the situation and takes measures to de-escalate it, the report said.
