Bishkek, Oct. 20, 2022. /Kabar/. The border troops of Tajikistan are trying to provoke the population of the border regions, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan said.
The Border Service its statement said that it was perplexed by the accusations of the border troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan against the Kyrgyz side of deliberate actions to escalate the situation in the border areas.
The information provided in the statement of the Tajik side is absolutely untrue.
Moreover, the border troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan deliberately distort information in an attempt to provoke the population of the border regions into illegal actions.
An example of this is the publication of a photograph showing the transportation of equipment on a motor trawl. Commenting on this photo, the Border Service department for the Sughd region of Tajikistan fabricated a version that allegedly the Kyrgyz side is transferring military equipment to the Batken region, while this photo was taken on September 21-22, 2022 during the withdrawal of equipment from the border line inland Kyrgyzstan and transportation to the point of permanent deployment.
It is surprising that the Tajik side is trying to “attribute” almost all of its actions to strengthen the border in the border regions of Tajikistan to the border guards of Kyrgyzstan.
So, since September 25, 2022, the Tajik side has been preparing firing positions: they are digging trenches and trenches along the entire perimeter of the state border with Kyrgyzstan.
Since September 25, 2022, more than 10 facts of the use of drones have been recorded, which, violating the airspace of the Kyrgyz Republic, conducted reconnaissance activities.
It was the citizens of Tajikistan who tried to set fire to the houses of the residents of the border villages of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On September 26, 2022, a citizen of Tajikistan blew himself up on a trip with a grenade planted by Tajik military personnel near the border, which already indicates that the military personnel of Tajikistan are preparing escape routes on their territory by mining in case of another incident.
In the course of clarifying the circumstances, the fact of the involvement of citizens or military personnel of the Kyrgyz side was not confirmed by the border representative of Tajikistan for the Isfara section and representatives of other competent authorities of the neighboring state.
At the meetings, the border representatives of Tajikistan admit violations of the reached agreements, promise to eliminate everything, but as practice shows, promises are not kept.
Our Tajik colleagues never cease to amaze: how unceremoniously they distort the facts and even use press releases from the Kyrgyz side, changing only the name of the republics and the words “Tajik” to “Kyrgyz”.
At the same time, under the guise of “firm commitment to strict adherence to the agreements reached on stabilizing the situation in the border areas and resolving existing problems exclusively by political and diplomatic methods,” the Tajik side continues to attack the Kyrgyz side in the media and social networks, where it openly publishes a video about the transfer of militarymen and equipment in the border villages.
Moreover, a video was recently published in which a high-ranking police officer, on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan, addressed unknown persons in military uniform with a call for illegal actions and destabilization of the situation at the border (video attached).
At the same time, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic records the transfer of personnel and equipment in the border regions of Tajikistan, the use of ambulance vehicles for this purpose, the transportation of ammunition on civilian vehicles to the positions of Tajikistan opposite the area of the Golovnoi water intake.
There is undeniable evidence of how the Tajik side uses mosques to train mercenaries, as well as store weapons and ammunition, thus destroying Islamic values.
The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic notes with regret that despite the signing of the protocol and measures to stabilize the situation in the border areas, the Tajik side continues to carry out activities that could serve as a catalyst for another border conflict.
The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan calls on the Tajik side to stop misleading the population of the two states, not to incite civilians to illegal actions that could lead to another hotbed of tension.
Today, the entire world, including Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, are facing such global problems as international terrorism and extremism, and our task is to jointly counter these challenges and threats of our time.
Failure to implement the reached agreements is a direct violation of the principle of international law. In this regard, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic calls on its colleagues to comply with the reached agreements and comply with the signed protocol, thereby maintaining the fragile peace in the region, says in the statement.
