Bishkek, Jan.21, 2020. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jenish Razakov told deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on International Affairs, Defense and Security about the talks with the Tajik side on territorial exchange as part of delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
“Today, Jan.21 a delegation from Tajikistan will arrive in Kyrgyzstan through Almaty. The work will start after their arrival,” Deputy PM Razakov added.
He reported Kyrgyzstan’s Batken Oblast hosted meeting at the level of heads of border areas of the two countries, and algorithm of exchange was built, and at today's meeting the sides will study issues in detail.
"When we come to a common opinion, we will collect all relevant documents and accelerate the work on exchange," he said.
Note that another conflict occurred at the Kyrgyz-Tajik border on the night of 9-10 Jan.
Residents were throwing stones at each other. The situation is stable today, and authorities are holding talks to resolve the situation.
On Jan.14 Deputy PMs of Kyrgyzstan Jenish Razakov and Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim held meeting, which resulted in signing a relevant Protocol.
The meeting of the two countries' delegations was held as a result of negotiations between Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov and Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
