Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2022 / Kabar /. The Tajik military blew up a 36-meter bridge installed on the Ak-Suu River in Batken Oblast, on the section of the road Dacha - Chaikhana, press secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan Kylychbek Dosumbetov during a press conference at Kabar Agency.
He said that due to the sudden start of hostilities from the neighboring state on the border sections with Tajikistan, road construction equipment remained in the conflict zone during repair, restoration and construction work.
“At the moment, due to the extremely tense situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, it is not possible to rescue or receive any information about the state of the abandoned equipment,” Dosumbetov said.
