On September 14, Tajikistan showed armed aggression by attacking Kyrgyz border outposts and villages.

On September 16, the Tajik side, violating all previously reached agreements, again attacked border and civilian facilities along the entire perimeter of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border in Batken Oblast. Tajikistan used heavy armored vehicles, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and aircraft in an attempt to seize the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, 129 people from the Kyrgyz side were injured, 36 died, including children.

According to the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Tajik military destroyed the infrastructure of outposts, as well as schools, kindergartens, retail outlets, first-aid posts, and houses. Shouting nationalist slogans, they showed blasphemy and subjected the bodies of the border guards of the Kyrgyz Republic who died at the post to mockery.

On September 17 in the morning, once again violating the ceasefire agreement, the Tajik side fired mortars at the Kyrgyz villages.

An emergency regime has been introduced in Batken Oblast.

According to the latest data from the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, the night of September 17-18 on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border passed calmly, but the situation remains tense.
