Batken, Sept. 22, 2022. / Kabar /. Representatives of diplomatic missions, international organizations accredited in Kyrgyzstan, journalists and representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers are visiting Batken Olast.

The main objective of the tour is to get acquainted with the scale of destruction inflicted on the settlements of the region during the armed invasion of Tajikistan. The joint working group will visit the most affected villages of Batken Oblast.

According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as a result of the invasion of Tajikistan, 432 residential buildings, 285 outbuildings, 6 schools and 6 kindergartens, 2 feldsher-obstetric stations, 9 administrative buildings and 26 vehicles were damaged.

On Sept. 14-17, Tajikistan showed armed aggression by attacking the Kyrgyz border outposts and populated areas of Batken and Osh Oblasts in order to seize the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of a treacherous planned military invasion by the armed forces of Tajikistan, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, 59 people were killed, including military personnel and civilians, including children, and 198 were injured.
