Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2022 / Kabar /. The deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh decided to send an appeal to the UN, CSTO, OSCE, CIS and other international organizations regarding the act of aggression by Tajikistan against Kyrgyzstan.

MP Chingiz Aidarbekov told journalists that the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh gave a political assessment of the events in the Batken region in their appeal.

“We noted that it was an act of aggression on the part of Tajikistan against Kyrgyzstan. The document states that heavy equipment and artillery were used against Kyrgyzstan and all military operations took place on the territory of our country. They also pointed out that this is not in line with the spirit of good neighborliness. Accordingly, they turned to give a legal assessment and hold accountable. We ask international organizations to give their legal assessment and bring the perpetrators to justice,” Aidarbekov said.

Also at the meeting of the parliament, the deputy addressed the Cabinet of Ministers with the words that the recent events in Batken showed how much Kyrgyzstan should consider the issue of its own security from all sides. “Our neighbor committed aggression. But the latest information that comes out in the media does not cause positive emotions. At present, the American side is considering with Tajikistan the issue of transferring aircraft that were transferred from the territory of Afghanistan. This is more than 100 aircrafts. And all these planes, as we understand, will be used not in the interests of the defense and protection of Tajikistan, but for acts of aggression against Kyrgyzstan,” he added.

The MP urged the Cabinet of Ministers to take preventive diplomatic measures in advance.

"To hold negotiations in order to prevent the transfer of modern technology into the hands of the aggressor," he said.
