Bishkek, Feb. 21, 2022 . / Kabar /. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov met with Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin.
During the meeting, held as part of the Kyrgyz Parliament’s official visit to Russia, a wide range of issues in key areas of cooperation was discussed, the press service of the Jogorku Kenesh said.
Talant Mamytov noted the high level of inter-parliamentary relations between Kyrgyzstan and Russia and emphasized the desire of the Kyrgyz side to maintain and increase the achieved momentum of interaction both at bilateral level and in the format of inter-parliamentary organizations, such as IPA CIS and CSTO PA.

"Given the fact that in 2021 the election campaigns in our countries successfully completed and new compositions of the Jogorku Kenesh and State Duma were formed, I propose to organize this year meetings of specialized committees of our parliaments in Russia, as well as the 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Inter-Parliamentary Commission in Kyrgyzstan,” Mamytov proposed, inviting his counterpart to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, Vyacheslav Volodin noted with satisfaction the high degree of trust between the two countries, and expressed commitment to developing comprehensive cooperation, especially parliamentary cooperation, and accepted the offer of his colleague to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The sides paid special attention to the development of Eurasian integration and participation in the EAEU, the expansion of trade and economic relations, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
In addition, the Kyrgyz speaker outlined issues relating to the legal status of Kyrgyz migrants in Russia in connection with the new federal law on the rules of compulsory medical examination of migrants.

"We would also ask the Russian side to consider the expediency of establishing a Russian migration center in Kyrgyzstan with the support of the Kyrgyz side, which will assist in employment, passing the necessary procedures in advance by Kyrgyz citizens before they enter the territory of Russia," said Talant Mamytov.
The chairman of the State Duma noted this issue will be worked out and sent to the Russian government.
At the end of the talks, Mamytov and Volodin stressed the need to increase permanent contacts and meetings in the parliaments of the two countries in order to adopt laws that will meet the interests of the two peoples and serve as a foundation for further deepening cooperation in all directions.
