Bishkek, Nov. 30, 2020 / Kabar/. Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Speaker of Kyrgyz Parliament Talant Mamytov took part today in an online conference of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (PA CSTO), the press service of the parliament reported.
The meeting of the CSTO PA Council was also attended by the heads of the parliamentary delegations of the CSTO member states - Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan, observers in the CSTO PA - chairmen of the People's Assembly of Serbia and Wolesi Jirga of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, representatives of the secretariats of the CSTO and the CSTO PA.⠀
The videoconference was moderated by Chairman of the CSTO PA, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin. ⠀
The participants in the meeting considered issues on the adoption of draft model legislative acts, recommendations and other legal acts introduced at the initiative of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Defense and Security.
One of the central topics of the conference was amending the Programs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization for the approximation and harmonization of the national legislation of the CSTO member states for 2016-2020, as well as the draft of this program for 2021-2025. ⠀
During the meeting, Talant Mamytov said that early presidential elections of the Kyrgyz Republic were scheduled for Jan. 10, 2021.
In this regard, he proposed to include the presidential elections of the Kyrgyz Republic in the draft Work Plan of the CSTO PA for 2021.
“I would also like to inform you that in 2021 we are planning to hold elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, after the determination of which it will be necessary to make appropriate changes and additions to the CSTO PA Work Plan for 2021,” concluded Talant Mamytov.
