Tashkent hosts the Third International Investment Forum, UzA reported.
This traditional event, initiated by the President of Uzbekistan, in a short time, became an essential platform for reaching new agreements for Uzbekistan and the entire region.
Last year, 164 agreements and contracts worth $11 billion came into force. This time, 90 agreements worth $20 billion are expected to be concluded. The main thing is that interest in Uzbekistan is constantly growing, and the list of countries ready to invest in Uzbekistan is expanding.
As part of the forum, panel sessions are held on water scarcity in the world, water resources management aimed at eliminating water problems in agriculture and mining. The participants are discussing short- and long-term strategies to overcome water problems, investment in effective water management and financing of international institutions. The issues of using water-saving technologies are considered.
