Tashkent imports 500 Chinese electric vehicles

Tashkent, June 30, 2020 /Kabar/. 500 Chinese electric vehicles will be brought to Tashkent.

It is planned that they will provide taxi services, the press service of the metropolitan administration reported.

One charge of this environmentally friendly and affordable vehicle lasts 450 km. In terms of money 1 km will cost 50-60 Uzbek sums.

Two types of auto were brought to the capital - SENOVA (Beiqi) EX200 crossover and sedan - BAIC EU5. Cars manufactured by BAIC Motor Corp. The approximate cost depending on the model is from USD 19 to 25 thousand.

In addition Uzbekistan plans to assemble another type of Chinese electric vehicles at the ''Shaffofomadlisanoat'' enterprise, which is located in the Kokand free economic zone. The project worth USD 30 million is being implemented jointly with the Chinese company Silk Road Company.

It is expected that the first electric car will go off the assembly line in 2021. In the first year two thousand cars are planned to be produced. The cost of one electric car will be three thousand dollars. On one charge, the vehicle can travel up to 150 km.
