Uzbek capital completely closed to all types of transport

Tashkent, March 23, 2020./Kabar/. Since March of 24, the Uzbek capital city of Tashkent has been completely closed to all types of transport, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reported on Monday.

"From 12:01 a.m. on March 24, movement of any transport (buses, cars, airplanes, trains) from Karakalpakstan and regions to Tashkent, as well as from Tashkent to Karakalpakstan and regions is temporarily restricted," the report says.

At that, entry and exit will be allowed by trucks. Uzbekistanis with a permanent residence permit in Tashkent will also be able to enter the capital.

At present, the number of people infected with coronavirus in Uzbekistan has reached 46.
