Tashkent to host first Kyrgyz-Uzbek art exhibition

Tashkent, March 16, 2022 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyz-Uzbek joint art exhibition “Tandem" will be held for the first time in Tashkent, the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Uzbekistan told Kabar News Agency on Wednesday.

It will feature the works of talented representatives in the modern world of painting, Kyrgyz artist Almaz Sharshekeyev and Uzbek master of the brush Umar Radjabov.

Kyrgyzstani Sharshekeyev noted that this exhibition is organized for the first time in Tashkent.

"The main purpose is to show through culture the strengthening of friendship between the Kyrgyz and Uzbek peoples, including between the representatives of culture and art of the two brotherly neighbors. Tandem is about helping each other," he said.

Uzbek artist Umar Radjabov believes that the relationship between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan has been developing dynamically in all spheres in recent years.

"This is our first project, which appeared on the basis of friendship between Uzbek and Kyrgyz colleagues. We have plans to organize such an exhibition in the future with the participation of representatives of the artistic world of all Central Asian countries," he said.

The opening ceremony of the events will be held on March 18 at the International Caravanserai of Culture Ikuo Hirayama.
