Tashkent to host Italy – Central Asia Meeting

Bishkek, Sept. 7, 2021. / Kabar /. Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio, UzA reported.

According to Uzbekistan MIFT, the parties discussed issues of further intensification and expansion of political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries, as well as the current state of implementation of joint initiatives within the framework of bilateral and multilateral interaction.

The parties discussed issues of holding the second meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs “Italy – Central Asia” in “1+5” format in Tashkent by the end of this year, as well as the upcoming bilateral events.

The main attention was paid to investment and industrial cooperation. The need was noted for establishing bilateral interagency cooperation to develop effective measures for intensifying mutual trade.
