On December 15, within the framework of the Fourth International Congress “Cultural Legacy of Uzbekistan as the Foundation of a New Renaissance”, a unique fashion show “National clothes – the pearl of a new Renaissance” will kick off in the Youth Creativity Palace.
Within three days, Tashkent will host fashion shows of young local designers.
According to the Chairman of Uzbekistan Designers Association, Khalida Kamilova, the show will reflect the national Uzbek costume at a professional level. Many experts, art historians and designers were involved in this process. An extensive collection, about 50 historical costumes from different regions of the country of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, was prepared. When creating costumes, the principle of historical accuracy was strictly followed.
The organizers of the show are the World Society for the Study, Preservation and Popularization of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan, “Osiyo Ramzi” Association of Designers of Uzbekistan, the Government of the country, the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee for Tourism Development.
