Bishkek, Dec. 1, 2021. / Kabar /. A temporary ban was introduced on the export of timber and wood from Kyrgyzstan outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The corresponding decision was signed by chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The temporary ban is introduced for a period of six months.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan was instructed to notify the Committee for Protective Measures of the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission about the introduction of a temporary ban.
In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic was instructed to notify the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States about the introduction of a temporary ban in the prescribed manner.
At the same time, the State Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic should take the necessary measures to suppress the illegal export of goods.
