Bishkek, June 14, 2018. / Kabar /. 10 sex change operations have been conducted in the National Hospital during 4 years, head of the Department of Urology of the National Hospital Nurbek Sadyrbekov told at a press conference in Bishkek.
According to his data, 10 children are born with hermaphrodites a year per 100,000 population.
"In general, in Muslim countries gender change is not welcome. We perform such operations, patients from neighboring countries also come, but more often citizens of Kyrgyzstan. All the operations that we performed on sex change were successful without complications," Sadyrbekov said and added that they can change a woman into a man and vice versa, too.
