The Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund reported that $350 thousand were allocated for this project. Thanks to the factory, 27 families of migrant workers have already returned to Kyrgyzstan and will work there. In total, 150 people will work there (with the prospect of increasing to 300).
The production capacity of the enterprise will be 25 thousand products per month.
Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiyev noted at the opening of the factory that the RKDF makes a huge contribution to the economy of Kyrgyzstan and improves the lives of citizens.
Chairman of the Board of the RKDF Artem Novikov noted that in recent years, thanks to the efforts of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers and with the support of Parliament, more and more large-scale projects are being implemented in the country, production facilities are being opened, and jobs are being created.
“Light industry has almost doubled its production volumes. But about 90% of clothing production is located in Bishkek and Chui region. It is not right. The Selya project is a vivid example of how you can work successfully in the regions,” emphasized Artem Novikov.
He noted that it is necessary to create as many jobs as possible in the regions so that our citizens do not need to go somewhere else to earn money. The development of the country should be uniform, and the RKDF is making great efforts for this.
“We try to support all sectors of the economy, including small and medium-sized business projects. We will continue to create production facilities in the regions. In 2024, on the initiative of the president and government, 100 new production facilities will be opened in the country. Of these, 25 are with the support of the RKDF,” Novikov added.
