The 30th free legal aid center opened in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 18, 2021 / Kabar /. The 30th free legal aid center of the Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan was opened on Jan. 15, 2021, in the village of Teploklyuchenka, Ak-Suu rgion, the press service of the ministry said.

The center was opened with the financial support of the Delegation of the European Union in the Kyrgyz Republic "Rule of law in the Kyrgyz Republic 2-phase".

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Justice of Kyrgyzstan Marat Dzhamankulov, Director of the Center for Coordination of State-Guaranteed Legal Aid under the Ministry of Justice Akzhol Kalbekov, local authorities, representatives of state bodies, local courts, as well as the European union in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The objectives of opening the center are to provide free legal aid, legal education, legal information, increase the level of legal protection of vulnerable groups of the population, ensure access to justice, assist in the implementation of the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of citizens, ensure the right of certain categories of citizens to guaranteed state legal aid.

Free legal assistance is provided in the form of legal advice and information, as well as assistance in drafting documents.

In his speech, Minister of Justice Marat Dzhamankulov, noted that there is a task to open such centers in every region of the republic and expressed gratitude to the Delegation of the European Union in the Kyrgyz Republic for the support provided in the implementation of the goals.

Currently, there are 29 Free Legal Aid Centers in Kyrgyzstan.
