Bishkek, March 6 / Kabar /. The first cochlear implantation surgery performed in Kyrgyzstan on March 2-3, 2017 under the supervision of the head of the Department of ENT Diseases, Professor Vadim Nasyrov and with the support of the Monica Leenhardt Foundation.
The cochlear implant surgery was performed for 5 children from 1.5 up to 9 years old by professor from Moscow, Vladimir Fedoseyev.
"Cochlear implantation is one of the costly technological measures and is in demand, first of all, for socially vulnerable layers of the population - pensioners and children," the report says.
It should be noted that, with the support of the above-mentioned foundation, more than 10 cochlear implants have already been performed abroad for patients from Kyrgyzstan.
