The first international Olympic archery tournament held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Aug. 29, 2017 / Kabar /. The International Olympic archery tournament, dedicated to the memory of public figure Tabyldy Egemberdiev, was held for the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan, organizers reported.

The Tournament was organized together with archery Association in Kyrgyzstan at the support of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Education and Sports under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Sportsmen from Bangladesh, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the competitions.

“This kind of sports remained out of public attention and it is gratifying that despite of all difficulties this sport exists in our country and starts new stage of development,” the organizers said.

Sportsmen from Kyrgyzstan won silver medal among women and gold in the mix team.

There are gold and silver among the juniors.
