Cholpon-Ata, July 24 / Kabar /. The last summer press conference of the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev is held in Cholpon-Ata with the participation of more than 70 journalists and political analysts.
More than 50 questions were asked by reporters, the press conference lasted almost 4 hours.
Representatives of the media were interested in issues related to politics: elections and presidential candidates, the economy - construction of the Upper Naryn cascade of the HPP by the Czech company, the railway China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan, as well as social problems and the future of the president and his creative path.
In conclusion Atambayev apologized for harsh statements and wished journalists to write only the truth and not to slander people.
"I often spoke harshly, emotionally, and then I regretted it very much. Unfortunately, this happened in conversation with the leaders of other countries. I always said sincerely. I sincerely apologize. I can say that our press helped me a lot. In the first months on the post I was brought folders, there were signs that I should read. I started reading, watching the news and learned lot about the problems that we worked on afterwards," he said concluding the traditional press conference.
