FMs of Kyrgyzstan, Finland discuss schedule of contacts in 2020

Bishkek, Feb.15, 2020./Kabar/. As part of participation in the Munich Security Conference 2020, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov met with his Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA, the two foreign ministers discussed the schedule of contacts at high and highest levels in 2020, cooperation in the framework of international organizations and interaction in the field of environment and environmental protection.

The sides noted the importance of consistent development of relations between the countries in area of strengthening economic ties, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Pekka Haavisto invited Chingiz Aidarbekov to pay an official visit to Finland.

In turn, the Finnish side received an invitation to attend the first European Union- Central Asia Economic Forum, to be held in summer 2020 in Bishkek.

The Munich Security Conference 2020 covers a wide range of security-related topics, including transatlantic and European issues, as well as emerging challenges for the international community.

The 56th Munich Security Conference is taking place on 14-16 February 2020 in Munich.
