President of Turkmenistan recites rap on his own poem

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov is spending his holidays in “Avaza” together with his grandson Kerimguly. On the second day of his stay the head of state continued making music, the state information agency TDH reported on 10 July.

On the first day of the holidays the President and Kerimguly went on a bicycle ride, performed various gymnastics exercises and wrote poetry.

The next day the young man continued to compose music to the poem “Sportly Türkmenistan”. “Kerimguly improved the musical piece taking into account recommendations and requests of his grandfather and asked the head of state to give feedback. After listening to a new musical piece written by his grandson, the President mentioned that the songs should reflect the spirit of the times, but at the same time should not forget the musical traditions of the people”, — TDH says.

Having finished working on the musical piece, President Berdymukhammedov together with Kerimguly who accompanied him on the guitar, performed the new song “Sportly Türkmenistan”, in Turkmen and English. It is devoted to the forthcoming car rally “Amul-Khazar 2018”.
