Bishkek, Oct. 10, 2018. /Kabar/. In Bishkek, a photo exhibition called “The Way Home” dedicated to the results of the provision of services for people with severe mental illness at the pilot Family Medicine Centers is taking place.
Author of the exhibition, famous photo artist Shailoo Jekshenbaev told that thanks to these services, many people returned home from closed psychiatric hospitals.
“Many people were able to return home from dismal psychiatric hospitals, thanks to comprehensive community services in 8 pilot sites. I portrayed these people in my works,” he said.
In total, the exhibition presents more than 50 works.
