Bishkek, March 27 / Kabar /. The Global Money Week has started in Kyrgyzstan, which is held in all regions of the country and last until April 2 of this year.
Chairman of the National Bank Tolkunbek Abdygulov said that, the Money Week is not a new event for Kyrgyzstan. "The purpose of this event is to increase the financial literacy of citizens. Within a week, educational seminars will be held throughout Kyrgyzstan for children and youth. Within the framework of this event, excursions to the National Bank, financial institutions and other state bodies will be conducted. Also comic books were published for children that will teach children how to manage their money in a playful way," Abdygulov said.
The website "Finsabat" was also created, according to Abdygulov.
Representative of the Child & Youth Finance International (CYFI) Karina Avanyan said that, the Global Money Week is a campaign to increase the financial literacy of the population. This event takes place annually in more than 100 countries. The motto of the World Money Week this year is "Learn. Save. Earn."
"Last year, we saw good results of the Global Money Week in Kyrgyzstan. And this year we also hope that this event will be held at a high level, "she said.
