Bishkek, July 14, 2022. /Kabar/. There are 245 emergency schools in Kyrgyzstan, 110 of them have been repaired, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov said at a Cabinet meeting on the results of socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2022.

He noted that there are also 219,704 low-income families, more than 710,000 pensioners and 113,884 families living below the poverty line.

"Every year we need 10,000 additional school places. To solve this issue, we need to build 24 schools across the republic every year, to repair hospitals across the republic, to take care of socially vulnerable segments of the population.
