There are 27 thsd people with cancer in Kyrgyzstan-Health Ministry

Bishkek, Aug.15, 2019. /Kabar/. 27 thousand citizens in Kyrgyzstan suffer from cancer, including 18 thousand women and about 2.5 thousand children, Minister of Health Kosmosbek Cholponbayev told during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He said, at the initiative of the Government, a bill has been developed to enable people suffering from cancer to receive the cumulative part of the pension ahead of schedule.

“We think the initiative is very good. This is due to the fact that the treatment of oncology is expensive. Also, before there was a problem with the access of the population to medicines, there was a monopoly of the drug market. But we solved the issue by approving a special list of drugs that can be imported into the country. The list includes only high-quality drugs, produced by the countries where these drugs are already used,” said Cholponbayev.
