There are 27.6% more voters in 2020 elections than in 2015 - CEC head

Bishkek, Sept. 24, 2020 / Kabar /. In the 2020 parliamentary elections, the number of voters increased by 27.6% compared to 2015 elections, chairwoman of the Central Election Commission Nurzhan Shaildabekova told reporters at Kabar News Agency.

She said that a total of 3 million 523 thousand 532 voters were registered.

“Compared to 2015, the number of voters increased by 762 thousand 235 people, which makes 27.6%. And compared with the presidential elections in 2017, it increased by 497,762 people, 16.5%,” she said.

The parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will take place on Oct. 4.

The previous parliamentary elections were held in 2015.
