According to his data, the total number of convicts in the penitentiary system of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2015 is 9 thousand 581 people, in 2016 - 10 thousand 147, 2017 - 10 thousand 328 people, in 2018 - 10 thousand 574 people , in 2019 - 10 thousand 891 people.
Thus, in five years the number of prison population has increased by 13.6%.
