There are growing number of cases with unknown source of infection: Health Ministry

Bishkek, June 8, 2020. /Kabar/. At a briefing at the Government House, Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Health Minister Nurbolot Usenbayev called on citizens to comply with sanitary standards in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection.

"There are growing number of cases where the source of infection is unknown. Today, we have ten such cases. They include employees of banks, markets and other areas. We are very concerned that the townspeople have ceased to observe quarantine regulations. This shows that the adopted sanitary norms, the mask regime are not observed. If we do not take all medical recommendations seriously and carefully and observe them, tomorrow you may become the one who contributed to the spread of coronavirus. This is very serious and I urge everyone to be conscientious, use masks, antiseptics," Usenbayev said.

The deputy minister noted the epidemiological tension in the country has not subsided yet.

The country confirmed on Monday 25 more cases of COVID-19, raising total to 2,032, including 400 cases among medical workers.

1,445 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have cured and been discharged from hospitals, 282 of them are medics.

Death toll from novel coronavirus has reached 23.
